Plymouth ease past Scunthorpe

Plymouth Argyle 3 - 0 Scunthorpe

Matteo DF watched his side cruise to a comfortable win over Scunthorpe on Wednesday night as the greens look to push up the table.

Giovinco scored a goal and was later voted man of the match for his performance. However, he had to come off injured after 60 mins and it is feared that the injury maybe a serious one. Yet another injury for such a talented player may mean a long time out on the treatment table yet again for the lightening quick Italian.

A customary goal for Arda Turan as usual made it 2 before Doumbia rounded off a comfortable display. The new Scunthorpe manager seems to be failing to change his sides style of play as the defense were hitting up long balls every time they had possession. There has been no such problem for Matteo, as his passing tiki takka style has been adopted by the Plymouth players with ease. The new Scunthorpe manager PMW was visibly frustrated with his side throughout the game. PMW's frustration was highlighted this evening as he refused to shake hands with Matteo DF after the final whistle and was seen storming straight down the tunnel.

"I'm the Plymouth manager, I'm not here to talk about Liverpool. They have a new manager ask him about Liverpool! I'm here to talk about Plymouth and a good victory for my team. Hopefully now we can kick on and take this great club with a history of great managers back into the champions league. I certainly believe in the quality of this group, now it's just about showing the quality, (that I know they have) every week on the field home or away".

Matteo DF thumbs up to his players for a solid display against a good side
