Following last weeks victory over leaders Swindon, Newcastle must fancy their chances of going top as Swindon face Chelsea who rarely give much away.    Newcastle have won 4 / 5 recent meetings with the Latics but crucially lost the most recent encounter. Wigan are outlcassed in theory but have a great scorer this year with Defoe. The new formation is going well and Wigan would be advised to skip the midfield to expose the vunerable Newcastle back line. Wigan have some key injuries though and while maybe not the star players , the depth players missing will leave them with little in reserve,

The Toon have to win or get swallowed back into the pack , so looks like a 3 - 2 win.
