Two teams with a great recent record 4 wins a piece out of 6. One could go top and the other sink into the relegation zone.
Wigan are doing fantastically with players many consider past their prime, such as Defoe, Bradley but the rock that holds the team together is Alves who allows the more forward player roam free up top.
A switch from 352 has given them a boost to recent form with 7 goals in the last 2 games.
Defoe has 8 goals but the team chip in at will.
Everton have the younger squad but the obvious weakness in Baumann at the back who lets in almost 2 goal a game. Everton though can match or beat Wigan in scoring goals, and I would only see this match going one or two goals either way out of 7 or 8.
I go for Everton 4 Wigan 3.

ReplyDeleteWigan have had a fantastic start to the season. They could achieve their highest ever div 1 finish if they keep this up. Hopefully Liam can do the big clubs a huge favour on Wednesday by knocking them down a peg.
