Mighty Magpies looking to bring back the Div 1 Crown to St James Park

Arsenal 3-3 Newcastle United



New Arsenal manager Chisholm squandered a huge opportunity to close the 3pt gap on the magpies. Sheer brilliance from Cristiano Ronaldo opened the scoring before Captain fantastic Xabi Alonso equalised on 25 mins. The crowd at the emirates pushed the players forward & goals from Hernandes & Asamoah Gyan saw Arsenal race into a 3-1 lead at half time. However the resilience & fighting spirit of newcastle was epitomized in one little Italian. Giuseppe Rossi popped up with two goals to save the Magpies.

Next up for Newcastle are overachieving West Brom. Jakes side are flying at the moment & come to St James park in 4th place however WBA have a tendency to fade in the 2nd half of the season. Sir Scott is sweating on the fitness of his star striker Alberto Paloschi. (below left) who has been out with a strained calf.

since becoming manager of the North East Giants in season 12 Sir Scott had maintained a top 6 finish all the way up to season 22 winning the league 3 times & runners up twice and a top 4 position nine times. Newcastle need Manu Del Moral, Paloschi & Rossi to keep up their work rate if Sir Scott is to win his fourth div 1 ec2 league championship & 9th major trophy.
